Great Notch Distillery in Wyckoff Shuts Down

Great Notch Distillery, the award-winning first distiller in Bergen County (Launch Post) since before the prohibition, has ceased operations.

According to a post on their site (Read Full Post) they have “ceased production and distribution” of their products including gin, vodka, bourbon, whiskey and moonshine. They encourage those looking for product to visit retailers and purchase the remaining available stock.

They also suggest those looking for more to check out the “burgeoning craft distillery movement” here in New Jersey, then share a list of local craft spirit makers.

Great Notch founder Randy Pratt began selling his products in 2015. The brand quickly made rumblings by being named New Jersey Distillery of the Year at the 6th Annual New York International Spirits Competition (Read More) and winning Double Gold Medals “Best In Class” at the 2016 Seattle International Spirits Awards (Read More) for it’s gin and moonshine.
