Opening Alert: Rony’s Rockin’ Grill, Bergenfield, NJ

When Boozy Burbs previewed Rony’s Rockin’ Grill in Bergenfield close to a month ago, owner Rony Alvarado thought his (also) rock-themed burger shop follow-up to well received Rony’s Rock Burger in Glen Rock would open in a month’s time. Right on schedule, he’s opened the new restaurant along Washington Avenue this week. Read the full preivew.

Not much has changed since we spoke with Alvarado, he’s doing a 6oz custom blend of brisket, chuck steak and porterhouse tips from New England Meat Company for the burger patties. Though he’s no longer sourcing buns from The Bakery next door… he’s experimenting with some rolls via Rockland Bakery and a ciabatta from the nearby New Bridge Farmer’s Market.

The full menu (see below) is a fully stocked with composed burgers, sliders, non-beef burgers, sides, shakes and more. Alvarado with begin a breakfast operation on the weekends beginning in a few weeks and will be open 6 days a week, with Tuesday-Friday just for lunch and dinner.
