NORTHVALE: Biddy O’Malley’s has announced that on Wednesday, August 1st their outdoor patio will open for the first time. Update: As of August 1st, Biddy O’Malley’s outdoor patio (see photo above) is open for business.

PARAMUS: IKEA is hosting their annual Crayfish party on August 17th with two seatings at 3pm and 6pm.

PARAMUS: Miller’s Ale House, a chain with 50+ locations around the country is under construction next to 24 Hour Fitness.

SECAUCUS: The 14th annual Philippine Fiesta will be held August 18-19 at the Meadowsland Expo Center featuring exhibitors, seminars and food festival.

RIDGEWOOD: Blend nightclub will be closing for the second time since reopening in 2009.

CRESSKILL: Three Men and a Babyback are sponsoring the Red White & Que Rib Cook-Off to benefit Cresskill American Legion on Sunday, August 5th.

MAYWOOD: In celebration of their new look and menu, from August 1st thru 15th Session Bistro is offering a dinner for two special (Choice of any tapas, organic salad with chef’s homemade dressing, two entrée’s of your choice & special dessert) for $50.

ENGLEWOOD: August is Customer Appreciation Month at Blue Moon Mexican Cafe and to celebrate they are offering 10% off via a coupon that is valid through September 15th (also valid at Wyckoff and Woodcliff Lake locations).

EDGEWATER: Mitsuwa is hosting their annual Summer Festival featuring live music, food booths, games and much more on Saturday August 18th from 11:00am-8:00pm.

NYACK: Learn about the various coffee brewing methods from pourover to siphon to drip at Gypsy Donut on Wednesday, August 15th at 7pm. All participants will receive a 20% discount on all retail coffee.

CLOSTER: Sear House is advertising an early bird three course prix-fixe meal (before 6:00 on Saturday; before 6:30pm on Sunday-Friday) featuring appetizer, entree and dessert fro $29.95 a person.

TAPPAN: Liberty’s American Bar & Grill on Route 303 has closed.

ENGLEWOOD: Mr. Tod’s Pie Factory has opened in the space on Hudson Avenue formerly occupied by Dougheads Bakery.

NORWOOD: There have been unconfirmed rumblings that Trader Joe’s will open in the old Cost Cutters space on Livingston Street (which has been vacant for at least 3.5 years).

ENGLEWOOD: La Mezza, serving self-described “Lebanese Fusion Cuisine” has opened in the Shop-Rite shopping center. Here is a copy of their menu (PDF).

DEMAREST: Demarest Pizza (formerly Pizza Express) has been granted a temporary permit for outdoor seating just like their neighbor Yasou Mykonos (new Greek restaurant).
