Teaneck Doghouse Kosher Sports Restaurant to Open September 4th
Update: Teaneck Doghouse has opened
Teaneck Doghouse, the “only Kosher sports restaurant in town”, will open in Teaneck on Thursday, September 4, 2014 to coincide with the start of football season. As previously reported, Doghouse will offer both food and drinks with 28 TVs showing all sports events. Owner Jonathan Gellis was clear that this isn’t just a sports bar, Teaneck Doghouse will be family-friendly and offer a great experience.
The kitchen is under the supervision of Rabbi Zushe Yosef Blech, Hasgachat Kashrus of Kehillas Bais Ben Zion, Monsey, NY. Their food menu (View Menu) consists of standard pub fare, including apps (wings, nachos, chicken fingers, onion rings and fries), sandwiches, burgers, plus a large selection of hot dogs and toppings. For the bar they will offer beer, 6-8 wines and standard spirits/cocktails.
Naturally, Teaneck Doghouse will be closed Friday nights and during the day on Saturday. Expect late closings for West Coast sporting events that can run past 1:00am.
