Veriella’s Bakery Closing After Fourteen Years in Carlstadt
A longtime Bergen County bakery is preparing to close its doors after more than a decade in business.
Veriella’s Bakery in Carlstadt has announced that its final day of business will be Wednesday, September 9th.
The family-owned bakery opened at 309 Hackensack Street in 2013, with Boozy Burbs covering its debut at the time (Read Story).
The bakery became known for specialty cakes, pastries, espresso and other baked goods, while also creating custom cakes for celebrations and special occasions.
“After 14 wonderful years, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of Veriella’s Bakery,” the family shared in announcing the closure.
The owners thanked customers for supporting the business over the years, adding that they worked, celebrated and created “countless memories” at the bakery.
While the storefront is closing, the family said it will continue offering cakes for special occasions, with customers able to contact the bakery directly by email.
