Tenmomi is Opening Permanent Home in Downtown Rutherford
Tenmomi is officially making Rutherford its permanent home beginning March 2nd, moving into a new space beneath the Williams Center at 15 Sylvan Street.
The move marks something of a homecoming for the brand, which first launched in 2022 (Read Story) as a pop-up in Rutherford before later operating in Nutley and then Westwood.
After years of temporary locations and pop-up formats, Tenmomi is now settling in for the long haul, with plans to remain part of the building even as the larger redevelopment of the Williams Center unfolds over the coming years.
The property is slated for a major transformation that will eventually include housing, first-floor retail, and a newly designed theater and event space, but the ramen shop will operated in its downstairs location throughout the process.
The new space will feature twenty eight seats, free arcade games for guests, and plans for a future Net Café concept adjacent to the ramen counter, creating a casual, community-driven environment beyond just dining.
A full, year-round menu is expected to be available from day one when doors officially open on March 2nd.
For longtime fans, the return to Rutherford represents a full-circle moment—and a chance to reconnect with the concept in the town where it all began.
