Tenmomi is a Monday-Only Ramen Popup in Rutherford

Tenmoni, a recently launched ramen ghost kitchen/popup, is open Mondays in Rutherford at Cafe Matisse.

Described as a “hand-crafted, chef-inspired, ramen experience, owner KC Gonzalez has twenty one years as a professional cook, including time at corporate restaurants. He is also currently the Chef De Cuisine at Cafe Matisse.

This endeavor is small step towards his dream of opening his own restaurant. All proceeds will be saved so he can afford a lease for one whole year. He calls it his “road to a 1000 bowls” – his plan is to build an isekai style ramen shop where guests can interact with all the cooks and watch while their food is made.

Being Filipino, Chinese and Japanese, he “draws from those roots and their cuisines” aiming to be known as the best bowl of ramen in New Jersey.

It’s currently only open on Mondays — when Matisse is closed — from 12-8pm or till he runs out, whichever one comes first.
