As previously reported (View Story), there’s now additional details about Capon’s Chophouse at The Shops at Riverside.

The new restaurant from celebrity chef Josh Capon is slated to open this October at the Hackensack shopping center..

The upcoming concept is being described as a modern American chophouse offering a menu of prime meats, an extensive raw bar, and dishes that blend classic flavors with contemporary preparations. It will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

The project is a collaboration between VCR Group and Simon (owners of the shopping center), with interior design led by VDA Designs, known for its work on hospitality venues throughout the region.

Plans for the space include an open kitchen, an elegant bar, and private dining areas.

Capon’s Chophouse will be the latest restaurant from the VCR Group team, whose members include Josh Capon, a longtime New Jersey resident and recognized figure in the New York-area dining scene.

The opening marks the group’s first Bergen County location.
