Capon’s Chophouse is Coming Soon to Hackensack
A new addition to North Jersey’s upscale dining scene is on the way.
Capon’s Chophouse is slated to open at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, taking over the space previously occupied by LT Bar & Grill (and briefly “The Grill”).
The restaurant is part of a collaboration between Simon Properties and hospitality celebrity Josh Capon — as chef, restauranteur and TV personality — plus it’s “powered by the VCR Group”, Capon’s partnership with David Rodolitz, Gary Vaynerchuk and Conor Hanlon according to their various websites.
Known for his high-energy culinary persona and more than 25 years in the industry, Capon has built a reputation with concepts like Lure Fish Bar, Burger & Barrel, and Bowery Meat Company.
The concept is billed as a “contemporary steakhouse”, with “elevated yet approachable dining” that “celebrates prime cuts, pristine seafood, and bold flavors”.
The two floor space spans 15,000 square feet, though it’s unclear if Capon’s will utilize the entire footprint.
It’s currently on track for a debut in 2025.
No other details are currently public about the project.
