New Teaneck Gelato Shop Announces Opening Date

Guerriero Gelato, the award-winning, family owned, handmade ice cream shop has announced they will be opening in Teaneck this month.

What began as Gelotti Caldwell and became the now four location chain, is under the guidance of Mike Guerriero, with storefronts in Montclair, Caldwell, West Orange and Morristown.

They shared in October that they will be opening in the former Bischoffs space — which had shuttered after a run as a popup this past summer.

Guerriero himself has won Gelato Festival America (Read Story) and was named among the top 10 gelato chefs in the world by the Gelato Festival World Masters (Read Story).

In addition, Marc’s Cheesecake of Glen Rock will continue to exist (they announced the closing/moving last year) in the new space as well.

His cheesecakes have gotten acclaim as well over the years, being named Best Cheesecake in the state as recently as last July (Read Story).

According to the brand’s social media, they are “set to open to the public on Jan 11th” assuming their are no “unforeseen set backs”.
