Paterson native Chef Mike Guerriero was recently honored at Sigep (International Gelato Convention) in Rimini, Italy, and ranked the #7 gelato chef in the world by the Gelato Festival World Masters.

Guerriero is the youngest and only American Chef to crack the top 10, representing the United States in 2021 at the Gelato Festival World Masters which – will see representatives from 20 countries, and over 30 chefs compete for the title of the World Champion.

In 2014 Guerriero and his wife Breanna got the opportunity to purchase the Gelotti location in Caldwell, and undertook massive rebuilding efforts. Now with three shops (Caldwell, Montclair, Randolph) and branded as Gelati by Mike (Website), their products are also available at many restaurants across Essex County including Cloverleaf Tavern, Stuffed Burgers, Frank Anthony’s, Dough, and more.
