Japanese Restaurant in Fort Lee Announces Closing

Soma, which opened in May of last year (Read Story), has shared they will be closing this week.

The concept of the restaurant is to “honor traditional Japanese cuisine” by using “the highest quality ingredients” at an “approachable price point”.

According to a goodbye post on their social media and website, the last day will be this coming Saturday 9/9.

There is no easy way to say this, but with heavy hearts we have decided to close SOMA.

Our final service will be on September 9, 2023.

To all of our guests, we thank you so much for your support and love over the last year. We would not have made it this far without your patronage. We are sorry to our regulars that this news is so sudden.

We are all so incredibly sad to see SOMA end, but we are glad to have had the opportunity to feed and serve every guest who has walked through our doors and gave us a chance.

It is a bittersweet goodbye, and we hope to see you one last time before we close this weekend.

With love,
The SOMA team
