Hot Chikn Kitchn, a hot chicken restaurant, is coming to New Jersey for the first time.

The chain, which began in Virginia, has begun expansion plans across the country and has it’s sights on North Jersey to start.

It’s opening in Paramus on Route 17, bringing it’s menu (View Menu) of hot chicken, fries, salads, tenders, wings and more.

Hot Chicken is staple of Nashville cuisine (Wikipedia) and has seen it’s profile grow over the last few years in kitchens across both cities big and small.

Locally there’s been news that Dave’s Hot Chicken, a chain that’s been riding cuisine’s popularity, also has plans for Jersey expansion (Read Story) — while a smaller outfit out of Boston named Underdog Chicken came to Fort Lee in early 2021 but shuttered in under a year.

Hot Chikn Kitchn should be opening sometime before fall, though no date has been solidified.
