Outdoor Liquor License Use Extended to March in Jersey

When outdoor dining returned in June (Read Story) as part of the loosing of pandemic shutdown orders, Governor Murphy announced that permits to serve alcohol outside would be granted.

These “special outdoor licenses” originally were going to run thru November of this year.

That changed today when he announced (Read Announcement) the licenses would be extended thru March 2021.

This news comes on the heels of possible liquor license reform that was introduced into the state legislature last week (Read Story).
