Y’s Lounge, a new lounge and bar located on the premises of Mt. Fuji, has opened in Hillburn.

Already housing two concepts within their hibachi steakhouse restaurant Mt. Fuji and catering/banquet space The Views, owners Yoshi and Nancy collaborated with Chef Shinohara – who has worked in numerous 5 star hotels in Japan and New York – for a concept that’s more “Japanese fusion”.

Most of the ingredients used are imported from Japan, as are all the plates and utensils – the idea is to give guests the “Japanese experience” without a plane flight, plus another dining experience that’s distinctly different from what Mt. Fuji already offers.

It’s specifically meant to be date night or girls night out spot, unlike Mt Fuji Steakhouse which is more family oreiented. In addition to the food menu, there is a full service bar as well.

With a live band at least once a month in the 80-100 seat space – Y’s is open Friday and Saturday beginning at 3:00pm.
