Great Notch Inn is the best dive bar in New Jersey once again. The Passaic County watering hole has gotten props from The Daily Meal and their annual list of The Best Dive Bar in Every State (Read Full List).

What makes a dive bar? They are unpretentious, a place when you need a canned beer, not a fancy “$15 cocktail” or endless craft beer list. And every state has them, so you can typically always find one nearby.

And Great Notch? It was highlighted for it’s cheap drinks, jukebox and “friendly locals” (including bikers).
