Karenderya in Nyack is a Best New Restaurant in America
Esquire Magazine’s current issue (dated November 2018) is home to their annual new restaurants list (Read Full List). While no New Jersey restaurants made the cut, “Filipino-inspired” restaurant Karenderya in Nyack made it and came in at number 19.
Praised for it’s adobo pork belly and cassava-jackfruit cake, the eatery is based on the Filipino Carinderias — roadside eateries scattered across the Philippines. The kitchen is helmed by chef Paolo Garcia Mendoza (Tabla) and features a selection of craft beer. (View Full Menu)
