Golden Corral Coming to Hackensack

Golden Corral, the national (you may have seen the commercials) buffet chain, is coming to Bergen County in Hackensack. This is the fifth location in New Jersey for the restaurant, which likely has more planned for the state.

Their menu (View Nutrition Info/Food List) includes over 150 items like steak, pork, seafood, shrimp, pot roast, fried chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, salads, and more. These are served buffet-style including carving stations and some made-to-order options like waffles during breakfast/brunch service.

Some also are equipped with smokers for the newer “Smoke House” options. Their yeast rolls are also a popular side dish, and they occasionally have promotions to take them home after your meal. According to the company website, all the items are made from scratch.

Prices per adult vary by location, however a quick Internet search showed breakfast and lunch running approximately $8-9 per person with dinner coming in around $11-12 per person. No word yet on an opening date, but hiring for the outlet has begun.
