Opening Alert: Joe’s Crab Shack, Edgewater, NJ

Joe’s Crab Shack, the casual dining chain with a seafood and beach theme, has opened in Edgewater. An nearby outlet of the chain opened in Clifton back in 2011, though one also opened (2013) and closed in West Nyack at Palisades Center.

Taking over for Mitchell’s Fish Market (which is also owned by corporate parent Landry’s), the “extensive menu” (View Menu) features things like buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken.

A wine collection including Robert Mondavi, Mark West, Kendall-Jackson, Clos du Bois, highlight the bar, along with a weekday happy hour menu with bites like Cajun garlic bread, fried pickles, crab stuffed mushrooms, “Great Balls of Fire”, beef sliders, tacos, Bloody Mary oysters, peel n’ eat shrimp, select spirits, wine, cocktails, beer and more available from 3–6pm and again from 9pm–close.
