Razza in Jersey City Has Best Pizza in State

The Daily Meal dropped their rankings for the Best Pizza in Every State (Read List). The jumping-off point for this listing is their list of 101 best pizzas in America – with the additions of a pizzeria for states that didn’t have a representative on that particular list.

The requirements for this list were pretty open: the restaurant did not have to be entirely pizza focused and could offer one of many different varieties of pies.

New Jersey’s representative was Razza Pizza Artiginale in Jersey City (it made TDM’s list of top 101 pizzas back in October), which defied odds last year with it’s three star review from New York Times reviewer Pete Wells (Read Review). With chef Dan Richer’s “perfect” crust and heavy use of local ingredients – though tomatoes for the sauce come from California – expect a wait during popular dining times.
