The folks over at The Daily Meal like pumping out those best food lists, including the most recent titled The Best Pie in Every State (View List).

This isn’t a list of who has a great piece of pie, it’s more of a what’s the best pie related to that state. Some were easy, the already have an “official” state pie… but others were based on “official” state fruits that were “suitable” for pie.

Our famous tomatoes get the nod with the Sweet Green Tomato Pie. While we can’t say we’ve ever seen one of these at a restaurant or served one at a family function, it looks like something a bit savory and worth baking if you so choose. (View Recipe)
