Wegmans, the supermarket chain based in upstate New York, is finally here after a long wait in Montvale. Located in what is now dubbed The Shoppes at DePiero Farm, the 108,000 square foot store is the first ever in Bergen County,.

The market has many amenities to go along with the usual produce, seafood, meats, deli, cheese, bakery and more. Being it’s the 21st century, there is a focus to offer many organic products, seasonal and sustainable items, along with promoting local purveyors and producers. A full service pharmacy and 14,00 square feet of liquor store are also on premises.

Prepared foods are abundant – the Market Cafe offers a pizza shop (scratch dough, 900 degree oven), coffee shop with locally roasted beans, sub shop, soup, sushi, salad bar, ready-to-heat entrees, Asian and more. There’s also the Burger Bar restaurant within the cafe, offering burgers (80/20 chuck, custom brioche bun) salads, sides, milkshakes and other burger restaurant items.

They are also known as a great place to work, making the Fortune 100 list annually – they are employing 500 people at this location. Wegmans is open daily from 6:00am till midnight.
