Star Ledger/NJ.com food dude Peter Genovese spent alot of time eating over the course of the year. Somehow with his hundreds and hundreds or restaurant visits over the past 366 days, he was able to pare down the 25 best dishes he had over that time.

One Bergen eatery was named, Ice Cream by Mike in Hackensack’s French vanilla ice cream was number 2 on the list. For those who may have forgot, Ice Cream by Mike was named a top 10 finalist in his search for the state’s best ice cream.
