Two Bergen Chefs To Appear at NYC Wine & Food Festival

Galo “Empanada Boss” Grijalva of Empanada Mania and Robert “Austin” Cho of Kimchi Smoke have been selected to serve thousands andbe part of the New York City Wine & Food Festival’s Coca Cola Backyard BBQ event hosted by Bobby Flay and Michael Symon.

The event will take place this Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 4:00-7:00pm on the rooftop of PIER92 in NYC. One of the items they will be serving is a smoked sweet Thai chili pork empanada. It is a 12 hour smoked pork with green onion, cilantro, touch of lime, and a Thai Chili sauce, providing for some sweet heat; pretty mild. It will be served Taconada-style which is anEmpanada/Taco hybrid with their pickled cabbage and chipotle drizzle.
