NJ.com has once again released their updated bi-annual NJ Pizza Power Rankings (perfectly scheduled during National Pizza Month), featuring 25 of the best pizzerias ranked by Star Ledger food columnist Pete Genovese. Vesta (#3) in East Rutherford (View Dinner Menu) topped the list back in January, but slipped a tad this time a around – though they still made the top 5.

Other local pizzerias to make the list: Bruno’s Pizza in Clifton (#8) and Pizza Town USA in Elmwood Park (#22). 381 Main in Little Falls, Jersey Pizza Co. in Wood-Ridge (recently named best in state by BuzzFeed), Lido in Hackensack, Mr. Bruno’s Pizza & Beyond in East Rutherford, Porto by Antonio in North Bergen, Ronnie G’s Coal Oven Pizzeria in Ramsey, S. Egidio in Ridgewood, and U Pie in Englewood were all listed as “On the Rise” — other pizzerias given an honorable mention of sorts, which were visited by Genovese or highly recommended by the “faithful pizza tipsters”.
