CVS to Add More “Healthy” Snack Options

CVS, the ubiquitous pharmacy chain – we could list all the locations in Bergen County, but that’s basically every town anyway – has revealed plans to add healthier food to it’s inventory according to a report from BuzzFeed. This is part of an overhaul that started with the ditching of cigarettes back in 2014 – they’re dropping 25% of the checkout space typically designated for candy with “better-for-you” snacks. Food aisles will also be on the receiving end – expect for eats that are sugar-free, trans fat-free, high protein and/or high fiber. The full article can be read at buzzfeed.com.
