International Popcorn, a retail popcorn and confectionery store, has opened in Totowa. The husband/wife business began 2 years ago when the requests from friends and family became large enough to move forward. They started selling mainly wholesale to Restaurant Depot/Jetro and Walgreens, which eventually led to the need for more space, so they decided to also add retail as well.

They pop all the popcorn on premises (air-popped) and create all their flavors in their kitchen. All items are made in small batches with the finest spices, herbs and extracts available and without the use of preservatives or high fructose corn syrups – and no artificial items that many companies use to increase shelf life and lower costs. They believe in using the best and real ingredients to offer a product that is not only healthy and unique, but also tastes great.

The shop offers about 50 flavors of candy coated, caramel, savory, cheese, herbal, and healthy popcorn varieties – including some spicy popcorn for “heat” enthusiasts – plus other items like peanut brittle and candies from PR Products. The store is open 5 days a week (Wednesday-Sunday) from 11:00am-7:00pm.
