The Daily Meal has announced their 35 Best Sandwich Shops in America – 200 sandwich shops where compiled from pre-existing print and online rankings (though no chain shops) plus subjects from Daily Meal’s Sandwich of the Week column –  with a panel of experts choosing including Food Network Star contestant Jay Ducote, the Los Angeles Times’ S. Irene Virbila, HollyEats.com’s Holly Moore, Forbes’ Larry Olmsted, and Jeff Mauro.

One New Jersey outpost made the list – coming in at number 11 – Atlantic City’s White House Sub Shop. They reccommend only one of the 25 sandwiches on the menu – the White House Special. Made with a sub roll from nearby Formica Bros. Bakery, and loaded with Genoa salami, ham, and provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, red peppers, oil, vinegar, dried oregano, salt and pepper.
