ShopRite opens their 60,000-square-foot supermarket today at the Wallington Plaza Shopping Center in Wallington. In addition to being a place to purchase groceries, the store features free nutrition and wellness programming, full-service catering, a pharmacy and a liquor store – it also is home to ShopRite’s first of it’s kind, in-store restaurant.

The wellness and nutrition programming includes a registered dietitian on its staff, who will offer free wellness and nutrition resources to customers on a daily basis. In addition, the dietitian will lead the store’s LiveRight calendar of events, which will feature healthy food and meal preparation tips for people of all ages.

“Building this new, modern store enables us to further bring our standard of quality and service to the residents of Wallington, Passaic and the neighboring areas,” said Chairman and CEO Larry Inserra, Jr.

In addition to this new ShopRite location, Mahwah-based Inserra Supermarkets owns and operates 22 ShopRite stores in New Jersey and New York including Emerson, Englewood, Fair Lawn, ackensack, Hillsdale, Little Falls, Lodi, Lyndhurst, New Milford, Northvale, Oakland, Palisades Park, Paramus, Pearl River, Ramsey, Rochelle Park, Wayne and West Nyack.
