North Jersey Hot Sauce Brand Jersey Barnfire Adds to Product Line

Northern New Jersey-based Jersey Barnfire Hot Sauce has added two newly-created items to it’s growing stable – now counting 4 – of products. They’ve introduced another hot sauce Jersey Barnfire Ginger and the infused Carolina Reaper Salt. In addition, their Black Garlic hot sauce was awarded second place – Screaming Mi Mi Award for the best hot sauce released in 2014 – at the 2015 NYC Hot Sauce Expo.

The brand began just over a year ago at local farmers’ markets – which ties to their use of local farms like ObisOne (Pennsville, NJ) and Tranquility Farms (Allamuchy, NJ) as they craft their sauces with Jersey Fresh produce. Co-founders Austin D’Almeida and Chef John Sauchelli will also begin farming their own plot of land this summer in order to grow some of their own peppers – with the goal of sustainable agriculture.

A little press info regarding both of their new products:

Ginger Hot Sauce
Jersey Barnfire Ginger Hot Sauce uses the Original Recipe as a base and incorporates ginger to create a sauce perfect for fish, chicken, veggies and Asian-inspired cuisine.

Carolina Reaper Salt
Jersey Barnfire Carolina Reaper Salt uses Himalayan pink salt infused with Carolina Reaper Pepper mash. Grind the heat and flavor of the world’s hottest pepper to any dish, especially as a hot rub for meats.

All sauces can be purchased via the company’s website or locally at Market House in Westwood.
