Wendy’s Introduces Ghost Pepper To Menu
Wendy’s has announced the launch of their new Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich and Ghost Pepper Fries ― both of which use their new ghost pepper sauce ― for a limited time.
“We are raising the bar on spicy again,” said Liz Geraghty, Wendy’s vice president of marketing. “Spicy has been at the cornerstone of Wendy’s menu, ever since we introduced the Spicy Chicken Sandwich in 1996. Now, we are really heating things up for consumers who love spicy food with a sandwich that has five flavorful layers of spice including fresh jalapenos and ghost pepper sauce.”
The Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich features chicken breast, cheese sauce, Colby Pepper Jack cheese, red onion, diced jalapenos, ghost pepper sauce and a toasted red jalapeno bun. The Ghost Pepper Fries take Wendy’s natural-cut fries and top them with cheese sauce, diced jalapenos, shredded cheddar and ghost pepper sauce.
