National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend 2015 Kicks Off

Gluten-Free Toffee-Tastic

National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend from the Girl Scouts of the USA, begins today and runs thru March 1, 2015. Girls across the country will sell cookies at booths, door to door, and through the new Digital Cookie website and mobile app. As always 100% of the net revenue raised stays with local councils, and girls decide how their troop cookie money is spent.

There are also three new cookies this year – including gluten-free cookies options for the first time. The gluten-free offerings are: Toffee-tastic (buttery cookies with toffee bits) and Trios (real peanut butter, chocolate chips, and whole grain oats).

The third new cookie is named Rah-Rah Raisins (oatmeal raisin cookie with whole grain oats, raisins, and Greek yogurt–flavored chunks). Remember that all varieties are available in every market, so contact your local council to inquire about the cookies they will be carrying this year. More info is available at the Girl Scout Cookies Website.
