Jersey Pizza Co, a “modern day pizzeria”, is coming to Wood-Ridge from locals who grew up in the area and have worked in the restaurant biz for many years. Owner Luca Draganescu worked at Victor’s in Teaneck growing up and spent time managing Houstons as well as being the GM of Blend and Rosa Mexicano. His partner Brian also managed at Blend, Hyatt and Tobe’s Public House (NYC).

The concept will serve traditional pizzeria dishes — pizza, Italian dishes, etc — but made with only locally sourced and homemade (ie mozzarella) ingredients. Most of these Italian recipes come straight from Grandma Millie of a third partner, a 96 year old native of southern Italy. (View Menu)

In addition, they will add some of the tricks they’ve learned along the way — made to order guacamole, specialty sliders (using a special purveyor blend), fat sandwiches (made with fresh ingredients) and possibly “Italian/American Style” tacos.

The small BYO is aiming to launch the first week of January and will be open 7 days a week. They will offer local delivery and offer catering as well.
