With the change to the cold weather months comes change at Ice Cream by Mike in Hackensack. Owner Michael Elias is bringing a selection of soups (and ice cream too!) beginning today (October 15th). All the soups are homemade and will feature his Chicken Soup everyday along with a second choice – some of those options will include: Shrimp Gumbo with Andouille Sausage, Clam Chowder, Cream of Mushroom, Potato Leek Chili, Navy Bean, Beef Barley, Potato with Cheddar & Bacon, and Split Pea. These soups will be served for lunch Monday thru Friday.

In addition he’s serving coffee from Lacas Coffee Co. and his very own homemade hot chocolate. The hours are changing up a bit too: the shop will be open approximately 11:30am till 6:00pm Monday thru Friday and 12:30pm thru 6:00pm Saturdays (closed Sundays).
