Paloma Negra, the contemporary Mexican restaurant and tequila bar, has officially opened in Edgewater. As previously reported, the owners’ family runs Charittos in Hoboken and Weehawken, though Paloma will provide a different take on Mexican cuisine. The two floor space features bars both upstairs and downstairs, plus another bar at their outdoor patio. 

The full menu (see below), is a mix of traditional Mexican flavors and dishes. This includes a selection of appetizers and other dishes to share (quesadillas, tosatadas and taquizas), with various Mexican plates featuring meats and seafood as main courses. 

The bar’s focus is on tequila and tequila cocktails, though other alcohol is naturally available. They are also offering bottle service for their tequila & mezcal and you can leave your bottles in a dedicated private locker (monthly charge will apply). Bottles can be purchased any time or at one of their planned monthly tastings. Upon return visits, drinks will be made with your bottle with mixers at $4-$5 each or “straight- up” free of charge.
