RoCCA Celebrates 10 Years in Glen Rock

It’s not often that businesses can make it to a 10 year celebration, but that’s exactly what RoCCA, the New American, farm to table restaurant in Glen Rock run by CIA grad owner/chef Craig Levy (Gotham Bar and Grill, the Waldorf Astoria, Amanda’s in Hoboken), accomplished this month. The restaurant opened for dinner back in July 2004, with the primary focus of farm to table cuisine, using fresh, local and organic produce (including herbs and tomatoes from his own garden) as well as grass fed meats (whenever possible).

The menu changes close to every 2-3 weeks, with Levy making all of his pasta, foccaccia bread and mozzarella in-house everyday from scratch. Each Thursday night they offer a five course pasta tasting with different pastas each week ― the first four courses are “unique” preparations of Levy’s house-made pasta ― followed by a dessert not on the regular menu. They also recently added a new “classic Italian” takeout menu, which features many of the Italian dishes he served early on, but aren’t on the standard menu anymore ― which customers still ask for.
