Glaze Donuts, a homemade doughnut and artisan coffee shop, has opened in New Milford. Glaze features donuts made from scratch everyday and fair-trade organic coffee drinks. Owner Jule Hazou has been in various food businesses his whole life, but was tired of processed donuts full of cheimcals, with Glaze being his first take on a donut shop.

The donuts are all made fresh multiple times a day, from scratch. Hazou is using all natural ingredients, with no preservatives, frying them in a zero trans-fat shortening. They are house recipes, including 10 varieties of glazed and numerous specialty/premium flavors that will rotate on a daily basis. Premium flavors might include Maple Bacon, Aztec Chocolate and others.

Other baked goods will be a selection of muffins, plus croissants imported from France, which will be baked in house. There’s also homemade crepes, with breakfast, lunch (savory) and dessert (sweet) options. Glaze Donuts is open 7 days a week, though hours may change seasonally.
