Opening Alert: 14 & Hudson, Piermont, NY

14 & Hudson, the restaurant from Blue Fin alum, Harrington Park resident and Demarest native Eric Woods and his wife Paula, is officially open for business. The restaurant features a menu of New American bistro dishes with a few “twists”.

Paula will be running the front of house operations, using her experience at some of NYC’s finest restaurants like Jean Georges, Gotham Bar and Grill and Icon. Chef Woods will be running the back of house, he has been executive chef at Blue Fin (W Hotel NYC) since 2005.

Chef Woods has spent his whole life in the kitchen. As the youngest of 14 children (7 brothers and 7 sisters) he learned about cooking from his mother at an early age, then headed to the Culinary Institute of America, before working in NYC kitchens for the next two decades. The importance of cooking with fresh vegetables and fruits was instilled early by his mother, so 14 & Hudson will support local farms in the Hudson Valley and Central New Jersey. Chef Woods will also be working with the same purveyors he’s been using over the last 20 years including Pat LaFrieda (including their custom burger blend), Blue Island Shellfish, Gotham Seafood and Rockland Bakery.


The bar will offer classic and signature cocktails, which will be made using fresh fruits and herbs. There will be a selection of craft beers on tap and the Woods’ are working with a wine director too.

The 4500 square foot space features a long bar and dining room on the first floor. The space is updated with warm woods, ambient lighting and seating designed for comfort. The outdoor patio offers seating that overlooks the streets of Piermont and an upstairs private event space is available for parties and celebrations.
