Tuscan restaurant Caffe Anello and sister coffee shop Sogno Coffeehouse in Westwood, are officially unveiling their lines of packaged oils and pastas today. Both lines of artisan products are used in-house by Executive Chef John Vitale and his team in the kitchen at Caffe Anello.

The oils are being released in three options to start, two olive oils and one balsamic vinegar (as Vitale describes, an “everyday balsamic” ($16)). Each hails from the Sogno Toscano farm, a family run vineyard in Bolgheri (Tuscany), Italy. The oils are both first-pressed and organic, available in two stlyes: Il Mandrillo Red Tangerine Infused ($22) and Super Tuscan Extra Virgin ($18). Both are finishing oils, used to dress salads, and etc. Update: The oils are now available at area Kings Supermarket locations.

The pasta, which is cut fresh daily, will be available in three styles: bucatini, linguini and rigatoni.

For the moment, all products are available in store, but expect that to change once they expand to online ordering. Vitale believes this is the first step to Caffe Anello becoming a household name… it appears this is just the beginning of things to come from this family store in Westwood.
