Opening Alert: Food Evolution, Montvale, NJ

Food Evolution, a restaurant that looks to offer local and organic foods in a quick serve fashion, has been slowly transitioning over from the Energy Kitchen that was previously housed in the space. Though similar in concept, owner Tony Santarelliexplained that Food Evolutionfocuses on trying to use the best ingredients ― to create the best tasting possible food―whereas Energy Kitchen was heavily focused on calorie counts.

The menu (see on their website) includes a number of burgers, sandwiches, bowls, salads and smoothies. The commonality in dishes is their sharing of proteins, with grass fed organic beef, turkey and bison available in each. Bowls are served with a brown rice, millet and tri-color quinoa blend and salads served on “always organic” produce.

The 2000 square foot restaurant is open 7 days, with a breakfast launch in the next few weeks that will expand hours. There’s seating for 50 withtakeout available.
