Playhouse Market, an artisanal market and more, has opened in Nyack. The market is a collaboration between Executive Chef David Anderson and interior designer Dawn Ziccardi and is located in the former home of the Tappan Zee Playhouse and the Historic Helen Hayes Theatre. the building has been reborn to bring local cuisine and culture to Rockland County and the surrounding area.

From organic locally farmed produce to fresh seafood direct from NYC to freshly prepared dishes and pastries prepared on site.  Some items include homemade biscotti, a full service Lavazza coffee bar and pizza from an imported Italian brick oven. There’s a large selection of pastries, locally grown organic produce, meats and fish, various organic foods, plus a selection of imported food specialties.

There’s live music daily with upcoming cooking demos, beer & wine tastings and more. Also of note, everything is for sale in the place, not just the food. This includes the art, baskets, plates and furnishings (lamps, chairs, tables)… everything. Playhouse Market is open 7 days beginning at 6:00am.
