Dagwood Signature Sandwich Shop, the spot serving chef-inspired sandwiches in Tappan, has been slowing expanding their menu since launch last July. The addition of breakfast sandwiches and quesadillas were certainly interesting, but the latest creation (a breakfast sandwich) caught our eye in particular. 

Going Donuts ($6) takes Italian prosciutto and Parmesan with fresh eggs and serves them on a glazed donut from Giannella’s Bakery in Paterson. Manager Jennifer Van Dyke explains that this sandwich was crafted to be something you thought you were familiar with (like a donut), but with new a spin and interpretation. She continues, “No one ingredient is showcased, it’s the combination together. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”. The sandwich is available all day at Dagwood from 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday and 9:00am-3:00pm on Saturday.
