Caffe Anello, the Tuscan-Italian dining experience in Westwood, has officially announced it’s first event. They are bringing in Westwood Prime Meats butcher Sal Petruso (who supplies them with all their house meats), for a special dinner on Thursday, February 27, 2014.

Petruso will be custom cutting for each table, doing live demos and preparing steaks “to order” right in front of customers. After watching his butcher handiwork, the meats will then be placed in the hands of Anello Executive Chef John Vitale, who will have a number of special preparations planned for the meat that evening.

The night’s menu (other than the steak) will also include a homemade onion soup, wedge salad (crumbled bacon and homemade blue cheese dressing), choice of side (broccoli rabe or Tuscan potatoes) and choice of dessert (homemade tiramisu or truffled vanilla ice cream).

The dinner will consist of two seatings, amounting to only 40 spots being available. Reservations can be made on their reservation line at (201) 786-8137.
