Boozing With Those Thanksgiving Leftovers

After a meal (or for those of us who had two) like yesterday’s, there is only so much one can continue to stuff down without getting bored as each day goes by. So why not find another way to consume those leftovers?! From sweet potatoes to cranberry sauce, Sidney Frank’s in-house mixologist Todd Richman has crafted a few cocktails using your Turkey Day extras and some spirits from your liquor cabinet.

The 56 Holiday Feast
In a shaker combine
2 parts Jägermeister
2 scoops of cranberry sauce
10 mint leaves
1 lemon slice

Shake well with ice, strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a mint sprig and a lemon wedge.

Sweet Potato Smash
In a shaker combine
2 parts Bärenjäger honey and bourbon
1 scoop of leftover sweet potato puree
3 sage leaves
1/2 part of orange juice

Shake all ingredients well with ice, fine strain into a rocks glass full of fresh ice. Garnish with a sage leaf or an orange slice (optional).

In a shaker combine
1.5 parts American Harvest
2 scoops of leftover cranberry sauce
3/4 parts fresh lime juice
1/4 part orange liqueur

Add ice and shake well, strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
