Yong Shin, owner of tast and the upcoming mood ‘wiches in Fort Lee, spoke with us about both restaurants and where things are headed. First off, he is anticipating a December opening for mood ‘wiches. It’s existence is rooted in the popularity of the sandwiches served at tast. Its menu will be more sandwich focused and will included some of their popular salads and smoothies. The food philosophy at mood ‘wiches will also mirror that of tast, since they will not use any processed meats and will focus on naturally raised sources of meats and dairy products.

tast, which has been built a loyal following for six years with that philosophy, will be re-branded as mood food, where the sandwiches will be removed from the menu and will be updated to focus on “eating clean”. Shin was not able to provided any other info on the menu and no timetable has been set for this change. However it will not happen till sometime after mood ‘wiches opens.
