Cravings Tapas Bistro to Open Tomorrow in Ridgewood
Chef Michael Merida sent us a quick e-mail over the weekend with some highlights from his new restaurant Cravings Tapas Bistro, which will open tomorrow Tuesday, November 5th in Ridgewood. The 55 seat restaurant is a tapas bistro serving globally-inspired American cuisine. The philosophy is a small plates concept, with an emphasis on sharing the “creative flavors” with an “artistic flair”.
Chef Merida has worked in many kitchens in the US, Europe and Japan. This includes stints at El Bulli in Spain, the Fat Duck in England, Plaza Athenee in Paris and Ryu Gin in Tokyo. Locally it’s been Le Bernadin and Park Ave Cafe in the city and most recently Mezza in Westwood.
Cravings Tapas Bistro will be open six days (Tues-Sun) for dinner and will open for lunch starting in December from Tuesdays-Sundays. They will also be offering an extensive catering menu for all events including weddings, bar and bat-mitzvahs and corporate events for up to 220 people.
Update: We’ve got a copy of the menu
