Hardee’s, burger spot and sister chain of the west coast’s Carl’s Jr. (there is some confusion that the chains are quite similar), announced today a return to the Northeast U.S. including New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey.

The chain which promotes their “innovative premium-quality menu selections”, which includes the charbroiled Six Dollar Thickburger and made from scratch biscuits, expects to open up to 200 restaurants in the aforementioned geographic area within the next five years. For those who remember, Hardee’s operated in the area up till the 90’s.

We’ve reached out for comment to see if locations are already being scouted in Northern NJ, details will follow as we receive any news.
