We first wrote about Al’s Late Night Munchies, a nighttime conversion at Al’s Charcoal Pit, serving fat sandwiches on Fourth of July weekend. With the new school season in full swing (in particular for those nearby FDU students; FDU Student Cards are now accepted), Al’s Late Night took some time over the last few weeks to improve their formula as autumn grows nearer.

To kick things off, they’ve got a whole who logo and branding. Their new hours are from 11:00pm till 5:00am every Wednesday through Sunday. And now with a new chef in tow (and promised faster production times), Al’s Late Night still delivers to the immediate area with extended coverage for larger orders (at their discretion).

The biggest notable changes on the menu (see full menu below) are a new $5 menu with a lamb & rice platter, BLT, sliders, fried oreos and more. The composed Fat sandwiches have also been revised to five new choices. They’ve also added a new waffle ice cream sandwich. Munch boxes and create your own Fat Sandwiches are all still available.
