Bag a Lunch, Help a Bunch® is a one-day initiative that asks individuals to donate the equivalent of one day’s lunch money to Table to Table to help fight hunger in our communities. This year’s Bag a Lunch, Help a Bunch® takes place on Wednesday, October 16, 2013.

We ask people at work or school to donate what they would normally spend on lunch, (or more if they choose) on this one day, by putting their lunch money in a brown paper bag. It’s a quick and simple way to make a huge difference for our neighbors in need. Table to Table sends the designated team captain a kit that contains the brown paper lunch bags, posters and information about the program. Prior to the program date the captain distributes the bags and generates support and excitement. Then on October 16th, the bags are collected, tallied and the donations are sent back to Table to Table.

The top 10 team captains who raise the most money will be awarded a dinner for two certificate OR an Amazon gift card to celebrate their accomplishment. The top 5 donating organizations will have their logo prominently displayed on a Table to Table truck for 6 months. These trucks drive throughout Northern New Jersey every day, picking up food and delivering it to those who need it most.
