For the 84th time (possibly consecutive), the Saint Rocco Society of Fort Lee is hosting (it runs through tomorrow) the Saint Rocco’s Italian Feast along the Easternmost stretch of Main Street in Fort Lee just past the firehouse. The feast includes rides and games, but as the word “feast” indicates eating is a large part of the festival.

Many food vendors are selling familiar Northern New Jersey festival fare, many of which are Italian, like sausage and peppers, zeppole, pizza, cannoli and more. Other traditional festival fare like fresh lemonade and funnel cake are also making appearances. Not to mention other Italian food vendors like Johnny Meatballs (whose food truck we covered earlier this year) and Joey Pizza serving pies, heroes and beef patties.

This year a few other vendors have joined the party, giving it a more international feel. Empanada Mania, the emapanada-only restaurant in Bergenfield, is selling a number of their empanadas. A brand new BBQ team based in Hackensack named Kim Chi Smoke BBQ was serving brisket, ribs and chicken along with their signature sauces. A number of Latin food tables were serving grilled meats including shish kabob, corn on the cob and other grilled treats.
